The Brantley County Board of Commissioners hereby gives notice that it is seeking written sealed bids from interested law firms who have experience in real property law, including ad valorem tax foreclosure matters, which can provide legal services needed as to the following:
Foreclose the right of redemption as to properties held by Brantley County, Georgia, through ad valorem tax foreclosure deeds as to lots and parcels of land in the subdivisions known as Satilla Pastures, Eagle’s Crest, Satilla Plantation Phase One, Satilla Plantation Phase Two, Satilla Plantation Phase Three, Satilla Plantation Phase 4, Satilla Plantation Phase Five, Satilla Plantation Phase 6, Fox Ridge at Satilla Plantation, Pinecrest at Satilla Plantation, Pinecrest Subdivision Phase 2, Pinecrest Subdivision Phase 3, Pinecrest Subdivision Phase 4, and Pinecrest Subdivision Phase 5, Satilla Plantation Addition to Phase 2, and any and all common areas and properties affiliated with the foregoing developments, such as platted jurisdictional wetlands, which are herein collectively referred to as the “The Property”;
To file quiet title actions or such other legal actions as may be required to obtain good and marketable, and insurable title to “The Property”;
To advise and make recommendations to the County for the use of”The Property”, so as to enhance its use and marketability for sale by the County.
To perform such legal work as may be required to modify and amend existing covenants to permit uses of “The Property” consistent with recommendations to enhance the use and the marketability for sale of “The Property”, by the County.
NOTE: A LISTING OF “THE PROPERTY”, TOGETHER WITH A MAP OF THE RESPECTIVE LOTS AND PARCELS OF “THE PROPERTY”, IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT THE OFFICE OF THE BRANTLEY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LOCATED AT 33 ALLEN ROAD, NAHUNTA, GEORGIA 31553. ALSO, PLATS AS TO “THE PROPERTY” ARE ON FILE IN THE PUBLIC LAND RECORDS IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK OF THE SUPERIOR COURT.
ALL SEALED BIDS MUST BE DELIVERED AND IN THE PHYSICAL POSSESSION OF MR. TOBY HARRIS, BRANTLEY COUNTY MANAGER BY 4:00 P.M. ON
June 1, 2021.
All sealed bids shall be opened for review and discussion at the regular monthly work session
of the Board of Commissioners to be held on June 1, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
Thereafter, the Board of Commissioners will, at its regular monthly meeting on
1 June 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., discuss the said bids further, if needed, and take such action
as the Board deems appropriate.
NOTE: The Brantley County Board of Commissioners reserve the right to accept and reject all bids in the best interests of Brantley County.
